Corrinne Lobe, PhD, JD
is a co-founder of Innovate LLP. She has extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting patents, registering trade-marks and providing advice to clients on the most effective way to protect their intellectual property and optimize the value of their business. Corrinne can also assist with company formation and structure
Prior to practising law, Corrinne obtained her Ph.D. in biochemistry and did post-doctoral research at the Max Planck Institute in Gottingen, Germany. She ran a research laboratory at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto and was an Associate Professor in Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto.
Corrinne enjoys meeting with clients and working with them to achieve their goals.
Mario Theriault, P.Eng.
is a registered patent agent (1995 in Canada and 1996 in the USA). Prior to becoming a patent agent, Mario worked in the mechanical and electrical engineering fields including electrical power distribution, pulp and paper, sawmills, machine design and machine shop.
Mario has obtained over 450 patents in 10 different countries for his clients, on inventions in various technical fields, including fisheries, forestry and agriculture.
Wole Akinremi, BSc, JD
has expertise in patent and trademark prosecution. Prior to joining Innovate, he graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School, where he specialized in IP law and worked as a research assistant on Trade Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS). He previously worked for a biotechnology company and assisted in their patent prosecution.
Wole has a B.Sc. in Microbiology and completed research and field studies at the University of Manitoba.
Mangesh Mokashi, M.Eng., LLB
has expertise in patent analysis and prosecution in the Canadian, US, Indian, Japan and European patent offices. He has a Masters of Chemical Engineering and a Bachelor of Law.
Mangesh was previously a patent examiner in the Indian Patent office and an Assistant Professor of Intellectual Property at the Institute of Chemical Technology in Mumbai, India.
Ramesh Rajaduray, BCom, PhD
has extensive experience in patent strategy consulting, patent drafting, patent prosecution, patent licensing support, patent litigation support and patent brokerage support. He has worked on North American and European patent matters and has experience in a number of technology fields including hardware, software, networking, optical communications, financial software and social media.
Dr. Rajaduray received a doctorate from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of California, Santa Barbara in 2005. He has a Master’s Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara (2000), a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Western Australia (1998), and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from the University of Western Australia (1998). He also has a patent in semiconductor characterization.
Margot Davis, BSc, JD
is a third year law student at the University of Windsor, specializing in intellectual property law. Margot completed a summer studentship and will article with Innovate in 2017-2018. She also posts timely and interesting articles to our blog!
Prior to law school, Margot completed an Honours Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Toronto. Margot has volunteered for the “Out of the Cold” program and is an active member of the External Outreach group.
